ZIMBABWEAN star Brendon de Jonge and former world number one golfer Vijay Singh have added their names to a strong field for next month’s Australian Masters.
The pair join defending champion and US Masters winner Adam Scott and American world number eight Matt Kuchar plus top-tier Australians Geoff Ogilvy and Marc Leishman in the tournament at Royal Melbourne Golf Club which tees off on November 14.

The 50-year-old Singh was a regular in Australian tournaments for over 20 years before kicking off his career on the US PGA Tour and was in 1998 a member of the team that produced what is still the only Presidents Cup win for the Internationals at Royal Melbourne.

Four of the top 10 players on the Asian Tour will also be vying for Australian Masters victory, including Australia’s Scott Hend and India’’s Gaganjeet Bhullar and Anirban Lahiri.

Perth International winner Jin Jeong from South Korea is also in the field.
De Jonge is also an alternate at the World Golf Championships to be held at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai China this coming month.

De Jonge has been doing well this season and has managed to take part in elite tournaments like the president cup held last month.
But he will have to wait long as he is a ninth alternate in the order for the event that has drawn several top players.
