It has become a tradition for local hangouts to go all out on New Year’s Eve and Pablo’z VIP Lounge at Borrowdale’s Sam Levy’s Village is no exception. The upmarket joint will be open on New Year’s Eve for what is called a “Block Party” where all the big DJs in town will take turns on the decks to entertain music lovers as they await the crossover into 2016.

The Block Party means the carpark entrance and exit to the venue will be barricaded to allow for revellers to freely move between Pablo’z VIP Lounge, Club and the deck without restrictions.

Added to this, a big tent has been put up to ensure that there are no rain fears and inside is where everything will be happening.

From food stalls to bars and the stage, it is all systems go for those who want to serenade into 2016 in style.

The gig, hosted by Pablo’z in partnership with the leading radio station — Star FM, starts as early as 6pm until the next day.

DJs who will be rocking the night include NR Entertainment comprising Rimo and Nash, T Bass and P Stylez, League of Extraordinary DJs, featuring the mad skills of Shy, Ntsiri Squad, C-Skillz and Clique as well as Star FM’s Shingai Mokina aka Moxinator alongside Bhaffly.

Also expected to perform is the triple threat of RayDizz, Rax and Rawse who have been showcasing their skills at the club for a number of gigs.

RayDizz is popular for his mixes which took him to the bright lights of Las Vegas when he represented Zimbabwe at the Miller DJ contest.

One good thing about RayDizz is that he knows how to fuse local and international music at one go.

Those who will turn up will be treated to a variety of music from the likes of Djs Nash and Rimo who are known to pull crowds wherever they perform.

Rimo is s typical hip-hop and R’n’B head and his music appeals to the young and old while the combination of T Bass and P Stylez is tried and tested.

The two have shared the decks with some of the finest turntablists from South Africa including the likes of Oskido, Euphonik and Tira to mention just a few.

Commanding a huge following, both T Bass and P Stylez are sure to keep music lovers on their feet during their set with a mix of house and dance tracks.

Lyndon Kapuya of Pablo’z said there was going to be a whole lot of action with the club, the VIP Lounge and the upper deck operating at full throttle.

“The venue has been designed almost like what we did with Burna Boy show.

“It is going to be party non-stop until 2016 and those who will not make it don’t know what they will be missing,” he said.
