$68m set aside for ambulances Prof Ncube

Government has set aside an additional $68 million for the procurement of 100 fully-equipped ambulances, Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube has said.

Presenting the Mid-Year 2019 Fiscal Policy Review and Supplementary Budget last Thursday, Prof Ncube said tendering for the said ambulances has since been completed.

“The Ministry of Health and Child Care has also completed the tendering process for procurement of ambulances. In this regard, an amount of $68 million in additional funding is proposed to complete the procurement process that targets acquisition of 100 fully-equipped ambulances,” he said.
