Sixteen people succumbed to Covid- 19 in Zimbabwe yesterday bringing the cumulative number of deaths to 4482 since the start of the pandemic last year.

As at September 5 2021, a there were 196 hospitalised cases.  New admissions stood at 11, asymptomatic 3 while those whose condition ranged from mild to moderate was 119.

There were 55 severe cases and 19 in intensive care units at various health facilities across Zimbabwe.

A total of 125 new cases were recorded on September 5 meaning the country now has 125 550 cumulative cases.

However, there were 1312 new recoveries yesterday pushing up the number of those who are now well to 116 401.

Active cases currently stand at 4667.
