ZimPraise Choir continues to set the bar high

ZimPraise Choir and Tembalami, among other artistes, will tour the United Kingdom, Canada and Unites States of America for the next two months during the AfriPraise Festival.
The tour has been organised by the ZimPraise board led by Joseph Madziyire and Gospel Nation Promotions, a music promotion company in the United Kingdom.
ZimPraise public relations officer Kelvin Zhou said the tour was meant to unite nations through music.

“Our vision as ZimPraise is to unite nations through worship for God’s glory and we saw it fit to organise such a festival where we will bring people from many nations to praise and worship God together regardless of the different backgrounds,” he said.

Zhou said preparations have gathered momentum and they were promising polished acts to their fans in the diaspora.
“Preparations are at an advanced stage.

“This being our third time on international  tour we anticipate great shows.
About 30 members of the choir will be representing the whole team and a wide spectrum of songs will be delivered in the vernacular as well as English,” he said.

The choir’s hit song titled “Sungano” is sure to get gospel music lovers begging for more during the tour.
The song has seen itself on the top radio charts even in the UK as well as in other southern African countries.

The AfriPraise Festival will feature other prominent artistes from around Zimbabwe and Africa including Mkhululi Bhebhe from Joyous Celebration, David Conellias from Scotland, Muyiwa Olarewaju from Nigeria and ZCC from Zimbabwe.

Zhou said only ZimPraise will proceed to perform in Canada and United States.
“The first stop for the AfriPraise tour is England, then the concerts will move over to Edinburg, Canada and finally in America.

Only ZimPraise will proceed to Canada and United States,” he said.
Gospel Nation spokesperson Blessed Kapesa said they hoped that the tour would be a success.

“The tour is going to be a huge success judging from the response from the audience and we have had a lot of enquiries regarding tickets now.
“Our last ‘Sungano Covenant Tour’ with ZimPraise was sold out and people were turned away as the venue was full.”

ZimPraise continues to raise the bar high and  they are sure to pass the mark.
For those who follow the group’s live sessions locally, they will have to put them on hold for the next two months as they embark on a world tour.
