Zimpapers’ security officer Tyron Chidawanyika has died.

He was 32.

Chidawanyika, who died at West End Hospital on Saturday evening, had a brain tumour. He joined Zimpapers as a security officer in 2009.

Zimpapers loss control manager Pattson Katsande said they had lost an efficient and dependable colleague.

“He was a dedicated and hard working person who would always go the extra mile in his work.”

“Tyron never complained about working overtime. I could say he was someone everyone in our department could depend on,” he said.

Yesterday workmates mourned Chidawanyika, whom they said had a good relationship with all.

Family representative and Chidawanyika’s father Mr Steven Chidawanyika said the family had lost a young and promising family member.

“As a member of the grieving family I hope our hearts will mend a little bit more rapidly. We are grateful for the good working relationship he had with his colleagues at work. We have lost him and I believe God determines everything. You cannot go against it,” he said.

His body will leave for his rural home in Mutare tomorrow for burial on Tuesday at Murapa Village in Manyangadze under Chief Mutasa.
