MARC McDonald and Zac Dufty braved the wet weather conditions to race their MiniRok karts at the Zwartkops International raceway in Pretoria, South Africa, this weekend.The Zimbabwean boys, who are members of the Harare Karting Club, were racing in round two of the South African Northern Regions Kart Championships. Unpredictable weather on the day saw proceedings delayed and some races were shortened.

However, racing in all classes was at international standards, with large fields.  The boys raced in the MiniRok class which saw 25 drivers on the grid.

Rain during qualifying saw McDonald qualify 17th on the grid and Dufty was placed 23rd.

Heat One saw McDonald up to 14th and Dufty up to 16th by the fifth lap. In the eighth lap, McDonald gained two places. In the penultimate lap, Dufty moved up to 14th and McDonald retained 12th place.
