THE Young Sables left yesterday for Namibia to take part in the Confederation of African Rugby Under-19 tournament which also serves as a Junior World Rugby Trophy qualifier.
The Young Sables are hoping to do well to fulfil their dream of qualifying for the 2015 JWRT to be played in Portugal. Chairman Aaron Jani feels they have a chance of winning.

“We are excited, the team has high spirits and Courtney Archer and Hugo de LaFargue arrived from Argentina on Saturday. “We did all we could technically to prepare the boys, so it is now up to them,” said Jani. The Young Sables will take on Kenya in their first match at the Hage Geingob Stadium.

“We have an experienced front row, a prop like Farai Mudariki, who played for the Sables in the World Cup Qualifiers in Madagascar and Russia and Gabriel Sipapati from Churchill who played in Middelburg last year,” Jani added.

The national Under-19 side features several players who were part of last year’s Craven Week squad such as Jabulani Mutukwa and Thabani Mujeni.
