Sungura musician Peter Moyo will share the stage with controversial lyricist Jacob Moyana at Zimunhu Bar in Epworth tonight. Young Igwe, as Peter is popularly known, managed to bring back his outfit Utakataka Express on its feet after a split setback and says he is ready for a memorable show.
“The response has been overwhelming since the coming back of these guys (who had deserted the group) and for this show we are expecting the best,” he said. Young Igwe is able to hold his own playing his own compositions and some of the hits by his late father — Tongai Moyo.

Last week the group performed in Harare and their shows were well attended. Tomorrow they will proceed to Mutangaz Hide Out, one of the popular hangouts in Ruwa.

Currently, he is working on a new DVD for his debut album “Maushonga Mukuru” that will feature songs such as “Mira Newako”,”Konzi”, “Pasirino”, and “Tutsotso” and the other two from his late father Tongai, “Ndiro Yababa” and “Tsamba Ndakanyora”.

Moyana promised fireworks at the show as he will be sampling songs from his new album.
“We are going to release a new album very soon and those who are coming to our shows know some of our songs,” he said. Event organizers said they have decided to bring the two outfits due to public demand.
