FLAME Lily are concerned with their lack of goals which has seen them slide down into fourth place in the World Navi Northern Region Division One championship race.
Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera’s men were held to a goalless draw by ZRP Morris at Morris Depot.
Resurgent Gunners beat Blue Swallows 2-0 condemning Flame Lily to fourth while Gunners are now third on the table.

Saruchera remains optimistic and feels all they need is just to get goals.
“We are very happy with the way we are playing. We played two consecutive games away from home and we managed four points which is a very good mark for us,” said Saruchera.

“We are happy although we are not scoring goals, that’s what we are working on.”
The seasoned campaigners, who have indicated that they are going to fight for promotion this season, will take on a revitalised Karoi United bubbling with confidence after dismissing Mushowani 3-1.

Mushowani had gone for eight weeks unbeaten, leading the race, but the defeat saw them surrendering pole position to Bindura United.
Saruchera said they will be hoping for a win as they seek to stay in contention for the championship.

“Like I said before, all games in Division One are not easy games. We are playing Karoi at home, it’s not going to be easy but we will try to make sure that we collect maximum points,” said Saruchera.

“We will use the home advantage to ensure that we get three points.
“We just have to make sure that we are not far from the log leaders. The season is still young, it’s a marathon we have covered maybe a short distance, but by the time we reach mid-season it will be different.”

Mushowani Stars coach, Paul “Popopo” Chimalizeni has blamed his troops for sleeping on duty as he said complacency contributed to their loss in Karoi.
“I think we did not play our usual game and I don’t know why. I think the guys underrated Karoi because of their position and that contributed but we will pick it from there.

“We are still very much there. We just need to work hard,” said Chimalizeni.
Chimalizeni admitted that it was a painful defeat since his team has been doing well in the league.

“It pains so much to lose when you are at the peak but that’s the name of the game, you win some, you lose some and some you draw.
“We need to accept the defeat. We will correct our mistakes from the previous encounter when we meet Gunners over the weekend,” said Chimalizeni.
