This is the full text of the address by President Mugabe to the Zanu-PF Women’s League Assembly at the Zanu-PF National Headquarters in Harare yesterday.

But I want to say that as the party we cannot ignore what you recommend, and recommend in order for you, firstly, to be in a strong position as an important part of the party, important organ of the party; and, secondly, as women who should be on an equal basis with men.

And all of us should try to assist the provinces that are weak so they can be as strong as others.

You serve the people so the people can prosper, so the people can be in better positions, be free in their own country, be owners of their own countries, be able to do businesses on their own without let or hindrance.
