The wait is now over, as the top dancehall chanters Winky D and Soul Jah Love have finally released their first duet entitled “MaGraffer”. The single which was released on Monday has already started receiving heavy rotation at Star FM slots. The collaboration indicates that there is unity among some Zim dancehall stables like Vigilance Music and the Conquering Family.

In the song the two artistes acknowledge that they are on top despite the comments of the people who try to pull them down.
“Isu tega naSoul Jah Love, tisu tega tiri kuita full bar and catering ende patinosangana chinenge chatsva.
“Bigman naSoul Jah Love anoda kutipikisa tinomuita rough, hatikwanisi kuramba tichitaura isu nekuti tiri ‘maGaffa’,” goes the song in part.

According Soul Jah Love’s manager, Khayaman, they are happy about the collaboration. “We are happy that finally we did a track with Winky D. “Our fans had been demanding for a duet for a long time,” he said. Winky D’s manager, Jonathan Banda said they are looking forward to a great response to the song. “We believe our fans will appreciate the song that came as a demand from our fans.

“The two decided to work together since they were several rumours that the two had recorded a single and they saw it fit to do so,” he said. He also said that the song encourages artistes to soldier on despite what people say about them.

“The song above all encourages one to work beyond retrogressive comments of those who want to pull you down and it celebrates mastery of the two artists as they look back on their dancehall journeys.

“It is irrefutable evidence that both artistes know their way around the dancehall culture,” said Banda.
