LONDON. – Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has trained ahead of tonight’s Champions League soccer clash with Galatasaray at the Emirates. Wilshere, who had been rated doubtful for the clash with the Turkish side after suffering an ankle injury in Saturday’s draw with Tottenham, took part in training with the rest of the Arsenal squad at London Colney yesterday morning.

The news will come as a welcome boost for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who has already lost Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy, Nacho Monreal, Abou Diaby, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott to injury.

Arsenal are chasing their first Group D points against the Turks after losing their opening match 2-0 at Borussia Dortmund, with the Gunners are currently bottom of the table after Galatasaray and Anderlecht drew their opening game.

Wenger confirmed that Wilshere may not start but will play some part in the game against Galatasaray.
He said: “He is in the squad for tomorrow, whether I start him or not I don’t know yet but he is in the squad.

“I have left (Abou) Diaby out as well because he is not completely there yet. The Arsenal boss also revealed that Walcott, who has been out since January with a ruptured cruciate ligament injury, could also be back in action as early as next week.”
He added: “Walcott is joining in full training I think ( he may be back) next week which is very good news.” -Sky Sports.
