She hit the pop charts in 2010 with “Whip My Hair” when she was just nine-years-old. Five years later, Willow Smith has swapped her long tresses for stubby dreadlocks as she played a gig at the Afropunk Festival at Le Trianon in Paris, France, on Sunday.

The 14-year-old was at the first European version of the festival with her brother Jaden (16) who also took to the stage for a separate set.

Willow went for rock chick black in a T-shirt and ripped jeans over black leggings tucked into heavy high-rise boots.

She held her dreadlocks back off her face with a cream scarf with red designs.

Her set was probably quite short as she has only recorded eight songs so far, including her latest release on May 7.

The teenager wrote and produced “F Q-C #7” – pronounced Frequency Number Seven.

As soon as she wrapped her set, her big brother Jaden took to the stage bouncing around in a white, long-sleeved T-shirt dress with black and white stars below the chest, over shredded black jeans with white patches and black Nike sneakers.

The lanky star, who pulled off his T-shirt mid-performance, spotted singer-songwriter-producer Lenny Kravitz (50) as he sashayed along the catwalk and bent down to clasp hands.

His dreads are longer than his sister’s and they flopped into his eyes as he belted out his set.

Jaden’s unique sense of style, including wearing dresses, has surprised his fan recently. And he recently deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts and made his Instagram private following criticism of his androgynous attire.

As ever, the siblings appeared to be travelling without their actor parents, Will Smith (46) and 43-year-old Jada Pinkett Smith.

Afropunk Paris is a two-day festival that wrapped on Sunday after performances by Lianne La Havas, Leon Bridges, Youth Man, Keziah Jones, Patrice, The Bots, Young Paris, Lolawolf, Twin Shadow, Lion Babe and more.

Aside from music, the event is also a cultural experience with food, live painting, fashion and more.
