Eighteen is this week’s magic number

Hello October, goodbye September.New month, new day, new date, new chapter, new page, new wishes!October is the month for painted leaves and yes, the Jacarandas are fully blooming and the weather is perfect with the meteorological guys forecasting early rains.

All is up to God.

Congratulations to our home girl Tamy for launching a successful video and listeners’ session of “Ndibereke” song.

You can tell by not only the setting but the style that Rihanna or Beyonce is in the making from our own girl.

At the age of 18, who knew something best can be brewed from a teen musician.

Still on the number 18, in the academics field, another bunney Maud Chifamba has graduated with her Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree at University of Zimbabwe.

You go girl and the sky is the limit for you.

By the way, where are all the boys when good things are happening?

Well, it’s confirmed controversial superstar Lady Gaga has been selected to perform at Super Bowl in February.

And Lady Gaga officially announced last Thursday that she will be performing at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show, confirming rumours she had landed the plum gig.

The pop songstress shared the news via several Instagram posts and a brief Snapchat video.

Her first Instagram post included a promo image for the event featuring the Poker Face singer in profile and wearing a very large pink cowboy hat.

The associated caption included a fun play on words that referenced her latest hit single “Perfect Illusion: ‘It’s not an illusion.”

The rumours are true.

This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA!’

She also introduced a new hashtag, #GAGASUPERBOWL, that her fans are sure to spread as the February 5th event draws near.

It appeared that she was treating the news as more than just another gig, as she soon followed up her initial post with a quick video of her looking at the announcement on her computer with friends, who all sound quite excited.

Still, international and social media buzz, we are continuing to congratulate girls as JB ex Selena Gomez is the first celebrity to hit 100 million followers on instagram.

Really?

The “Hands to Myself” singer now tops such fellow celebrity Instagramers as Taylor Swift (91,4 million), Beyonce (85,3 million), Ariana Grande (85 million) and Kim Kardashian West (83,6 million).

The last photo she posted was an image of herself on stage six weeks ago.

Back in July the singer’s photo of herself drinking a Coke became the most liked photo on social media and now have over 5,6 million likes.

Gomez said in a statement last month that she’s taking a break from the spotlight to deal with anxiety, panic attacks and depression stemming from her battle with lupus.

The 24-year-old revealed a year ago that she had secretly undergone chemotherapy to treat lupus, a chronic disease in which the body’s immune system fights healthy tissue.

“I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges,” she said in a statement posted Wednesday on sites of concert venues where she had been due to perform.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” she said.

She told fans that she needed to “face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best.”

“I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she said.

Gomez last performed August 13 in Auckland, New Zealand at the end of an Asian tour leg and has since gone quiet on social media.
