AS the adage goes there may be 11 men playing on the pitch, but the 12th man helps you win.

My beloved CAPS United have been among front-runners for the championship in 2016.

I, therefore read with regret that our last match against Mutare City, which we won 4-1, was played before a virtually empty National Sports Stadium.

Football is a great unifier, when you go into a stadium all your troubles are left behind for 90 minutes as we support a club we love.

We scream and shout, we cry and debate, we forget everything and have only one thing on our minds and that is football.

CAPS United are now only three points behind log leaders FC Platinum and in football that is what is called spitting distance.

The question is — where are you CAPS United supporters?

The coaches and players of this great club prepare to try and win matches and they do that for the supporters.

Without the fans, any victory is hollow.

But as much as Lloyd Chitembwe and his men are playing their hearts out, the supporters have a responsibility to come out in their numbers to support these players and coaches who play and represent the team we love.

I will tell you a secret, the difference between winning and losing is very small, in fact a very minute thing.

And I can tell you that what can make the difference, between winning and losing, are the supporters.

So, I challenge you, if you are true supporters of CAPS United go to the stadiums and support our team.

This is the club that you and me love with all our hearts.

Let us show the players that we love them.

This is the tail end of the season and that is where champions are separated from pretenders and this is when our players and coaches really need your support.

If you want us to win the league, do not leave it in the boys’ hands alone. My request is for you to go to the stadium for every match that we will play this year, scream and support our troops.

We have a good chance to win the league and the players need to feel that the fans are really behind them.

Come on CAPS United, we just can’t miss this chance.
