UNDER pressure WhaWha coach Lloyd Mutasa has warned Dynamos of a possible backlash from the huge drubbing they received at How Mine when they welcome the champions at Ascot this afternoon.WhaWha who are second from bottom on the log table have found the going tough in the top-flight and despite Mutasa’s experience with the Premiership game, they have only one win to show for their efforts in seven matches.

Mutasa however, said the prison warders will be looking to bounce back from their 6-0 humiliation by How Mine and inflict a second successive defeat on Dynamos.

Dynamos on their part have declared today’s assignment a must win game for them after they were also hammered 3-0 by Chicken Inn. DeMbare team manager Richard Chihoro however, said they are expecting WhaWha to come at them strongly. “It doesn’t matter that they lost 6-0. They will come out strongly to beat us. Every team which plays us comes fully prepared and raises their game. They play like it is a cup game.

“We know this encounter would be a tough one but it has become the norm for all our games. Even the Sunday game (Chicken Inn) was very tough for us.

“We have to bounce back since we lost heavily against Chicken Inn and it is a must win for us. We have to win the match at all costs,” Chihoro said.

Mutasa, a former Dynamos coach said the match would be a tough one as both teams are bruised.

“It is a matter of two teams going into the match having suffered defeats and it would be interesting which team emerges the winner.

“We need to put behind the How Mine defeat and give a strong show against Dynamos. We need to make up for the big defeat as early as possible. It would be a tough match, they have the character to bounce back and we should show the same character,” Mutasa said.

On Saturday, Whawha, suffered their heaviest defeat in their short stay in the top flight when their defence soaked in four goals from Timothy January while Limited Chikafa weighed in with a brace.

It was as bad as they come but Mutasa said they will not bury their heads in shame as this happens in football and is part of the game but would rather want to quickly bounce back. He hopes that the quick recovery will start this afternoon with a victory against his former team.

“Everything was wrong that day. We were porous at the back. We lost possession in key areas. But football is football. We have seen big teams such as Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal losing with such margins but they bounce back’’. Mutasa’s Gweru prison guards have only managed to beat FC Platinum drew twice and lost four matches.

It is a statistical quirk which is worrying and the former Dynamos player concedes as much.
