Romans 8 vs 28; “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

Have you ever taken time to think back on all the people you have met in your life, starting from your childhood? Try and recall all of them very carefully. As the images of their faces flicker in your mind, think of the ones that have brought you the greatest joy, the ones that have changed the course of your life.

In between that you will think of all the ones that have hurt you, brought you misery and broken you. It’s very interesting that, all the people you have met or encountered have shaped your life in some way or the other.

They have either made you stronger or wiser, made you to relook life as you know it and have somehow shaped the person you are today. We tend to wish away unpleasant memories and pretend that they never happened. It’s easier to just close off the memories of the things we dislike and only remember the memories we cherish.

So many people believe in luck or coincidences, they believe that things just happen out of the blue or through some strange cosmic force that is not God, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. For every person you have met, there is an underlying reason why the Lord has allowed it to happen. You may not know the reason today, but as the years go by, the Lord will clearly open your eyes to that reality.

As I have played the images of those I have known in my mind, I can see now that each one had a role to play in my life. It’s surprising to note that, even those that hurt you were there to sharpen you and bring about the glory of God. The story is told that Samuel’s mother would go to the temple each year and cry out to God to be given a child. On one occasion, the priest heard her, at first he believed that her rumblings were as a result of being drunk.

Little did the priest know at the time that this encounter with this woman would bring about a prophet who would be trained under him and eventually lead his people. Samuel went on to become one of the most spiritually attune prophets to have walked the earth. Who would have known that, from this one encounter, a prophet would be born?

Let every encounter minister and manifest its intended outcome for your life.

Be blessed.
