aEphesians 4 vs 23 – 24

“. . . and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

Someone reminded me that we die each day, that our characters are put to the test each and every day and that only so many of us get a chance at renewal, whilst the majority remain steeped in tradition and sin.

From time immemorial we have been called to the altar through outreach programs, pastoral altar calls and God’s continued influence on our lives. Despite these calls and our pledge to reform grounded in an emotional desire to be better, very few of us ever live up to the ideal that we sign on to.

The Christian experience fails to deliver a changed person who is God fearing, compassionate, kind, genuine and reformed. For many they wait for calamity to be the turning point that marks the first day of their new lives.

Should it take calamity for reformation to occur or should it be a heartfelt desire to be Christ-like, to be better, to be called, set apart and to lead lives that reflect the presence of God in them? Ask yourself today what will lead you to being a truly changed God-fearing person. Respond to His love today.

Be blessed!
