SCOTT Vincent will go into today’s second round of the BMW South Africa Open as the highest placed local after he finished on two-under par 70 at the Glendower Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa yesterday. The former Chapman and Royal Harare-based professional is in the Sunshine Tour, European Tour co-sanctioned tour together with Mark Williams and Marc Cayeux.

Vincent was tied on 32 and will today play in the morning which seemed favourable after yesterday’s round. He is in high spirits after he did well in his last outing when he finished third in Asian Tour’s Indonesia masters tournament where he was behind Justin Rose and Thailand’’s Phachara khongwatmai.

Williams on the other hand finished the round on level par 70 and is expected to improve this afternoon and make the cut.
