United States-based Kaya “Kay Rich” Richardson gave an outstanding performance at the recently held Dream Star Zimbabwe competition at the Long Cheng Plaza.

The young musician made it to the stage with one of her hits “Hello” and “Black on Your Face” leaving the crowd in awe.

During her performance fans danced and sang along to her rap music.

Kay Rich came to Zimbabwe a few months ago to visit her family.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Kay Rich could not hide her excitement of being given the opportunity to perform.

“I’m very excited about my performance as the crowd enjoyed the songs.

I noticed that the fans were singing along. They gave me energy and the urge to go on, so all I can just say is it was good and I think I killed,” said Kay Rich.

She went on to say that she was happy to be in Zimbabwe as all the people she met were treating her well.

“I came to Zimbabwe about four months ago and I will be here for some more months before I return to the States.

“The place has a lot of fun, I like it here. It is calm and comfortable and the people here are really cool and most of all I’m enjoying myself,” she said

The young musician said she had some good songs but could not perform all of them due to the short slot that she had.

Some of the artistes who made the event colourful were Jah Prayzah, Extra Large, Madiz and Trevor Dongo.
