Popular “Mukoko” video by Tytan and Ammara Brown has been voted best music video of the year at the recently held Zimbabwe Youth Achievers Awards in Texas. Tytan, whose real name is Njabulo Nkomo, said this came as a surprise to him and it has also encouraged him to do more projects to keep his brand on the spotlight.“Am so glad I emerged a winner for the best music video and it came as a total surprise,” Nkomo said.

“I will therefore continue to work hard in the music circles so as to make sure that my brand will continue to shine on the spotlight,” he added.

ZYAA recognises Zimbabwean artistes from around the world who are putting the country on the map with their success in music.

Zimbabwean artists from across the globe are awarded trophies as a way of encouraging them to keep up the good work.

Tytan penetrated the music industry by successfully launching Cynthia Mare’s music career as her manager in 2014.

The musician has continued to make strides releasing the song Mukoko at the beginning of the year and “I Dondi Keya” featuring Mare this month.

Nkomo said that he will continue to do collaborations which have proved to be paying off on his part after recently touring United Kingdom.

“I have a great collaboration with Diamond Boys and Sparxx from Mutare which is coming out this summer, and am excited about this one,” Nkomo said.

“I also have surprise international collaborations which are in the pipeline as I want to keep my fans entertained with great works.”
