TM Supermarket intends to invest $2.5 million in the refurbishment of two stores and towards the opening of a new branch. Speaking after the launch of the TM/Pick ‘n’ Pay Bargain Bonanza promotion 2015, TM/Pick n Pay managing director Mr Dharmalingum Dass told the Herald Business that the company is working towards creating value for its customers through the provision of world-class service.

“We have planned two refurbishments this year. We are working on the Mutare and Bluffhill branches, where we are going to spend in excess of $1 million to refurbish the stores.

“The company will also spend $1,5 million on the new Kirkman Pick ‘n’ Pay branch. We have just finished the Avondale branch, so Kirkman branch will come on line early next year.

“We are targeting to have completed 57 branches by year end,” said Mr Dass.

The retail company yesterday launched the second TM/Pick ‘n’ Pay Bargain Bonanza.

This year’s promotion will see several prizes being won at all TM and Pick n pay branches across the country.

Zimpapers is among the major suppliers to take part in the promotion where it will have a vehicle among the 22 Nissan Qashqai vehicles to be won at the grand draw to be held on October 10, 2015.

“Our strategy is to give customers value for money and value for money means very competitive pricing and a wide range of products.

“We are just coming out of a successful knife promotion and we say watch this space from October to December.

“This launch is meant to appreciate the role played by our suppliers. Without their partnership and contribution we couldn’t have achieved this milestone,” said Mr Dass.

In a bid to maintain customer value, the retail giant has so far invested about $25 million into its chain, with the funds aimed at refurbishing its outlets across the country.
