Time for Zim to reclaim its rightful place

Fast forward to 2010, RSA’s GDP is estimated at US$354 billion against Zimbabwe’s US$6,7 billion.
To remain at 7,4 percent of RSA the Zimbabwe’s GDP needs to be US$26,2 billion, a far cry from its current size.

Zimbabwe is therefore currently only 25,6 percent of its 1980 potential. There is therefore serious catching up to be done. Ironically, this catching up simultaneously presents a huge upside potential for Zimbabwe over the next 20 years to the year 2030.

Given the subsoil resources, tremendous human capital with unmatched resilience, we at KMFS maintain that with creative planning and a synchronisation of efforts by all stakeholders it is possible to surpass a 15 percent per annum growth target over the next 20 years to 2030 to reach a US$100 billion dollar economy.
This kind of growth will not be achieved by error! It will only be possible through painstaking co-ordinated planning and serious engagements by all stakeholders.

The 2011 CEO Roundtable seeks to unpack this potential for the Zimbabwean Economy and exhibit the sectoral opportunities available to Zimbabwean businesses in the context of irrefutable and unavoidable growth for Zimbabwe over the next 20 years.

The conference seeks to stretch the imaginations of all leaders to visualise what Zimbabwe will be like in 2030, 50 years after its independence.
We owe it to future generations not to plod without a plan and walk blindly into an unplanned future. The Japanese plan for 75 years on average ,that is why they have 10 percent of the world’s wealth yet they only have 1 percent of its population.

We must therefore boldly plan our future as well so that we are not caught up in the plans of those who would have outplanned us.
Zimbabwean leaders can and MUST plan way ahead beyond the ephemeral problems of today. As Zimbabweans we need to not only visualise but PLAN for where we MUST take this country over the next 20 years.

The law of attraction dictates that we attract into our lives the kinds of things that we dream about. Where we will be in 2030 will be a manifestation of our collective thoughts leading up to 2030.
All our lives today are a manifestation of our predominant thoughts over the last 20-30 years.

This is why we are inviting all leaders in Zimbabwe to come and be a part of this ground-breaking no-holds- barred 2011 ROUND TABLE WHERE as Zimbabweans we will stare destiny in the face and have the audacity to paint it the colour we wish it to be.

This conference is NOT a talk show about Zimbabwe but a relevant strategic event for business leaders to align their businesses to the national beat in the country and plot for above average returns.
The topics and deliberations

In line with the theme the conference has invited speakers to peer into the future and pick out trends which will shape the next twenty years.
Armed with these powerful insights, the delegates will also deliberate and identify the key imperatives that will enable Zimbabwean businesses to compete and survive over the next gruesome 20 years of unprecedented cut-throat global glut of goods and services.

Sectoral breakaway sessions have been designed to get delegates to cut deals and network.
In these sessions the delegates also seek to distill the opportunities for their businesses and sectors presented by a US$100 billion economy.

The conference will answer the following questions which are troubling CEOs:
Given geo-political and economic trends where is Zimbabwe going in the long term? With this prognosis how can delegates position their business to not only survive but to thrive over the next two decades of growth?
What policy framework do we need to be able to achieve sustained economic growth and realise the FULL potential of our mineral resources?
Given our abundant resource endowments, how do we collaborate to create the synergies which come from a deliberately and intricately integrated modern economy?
How do we construct a value system and raise up role models from whom our children can anchor and sustain growth for Zimbabweans into the future?
Conclusion
Zimbabwe is on the threshold of serious growth and on a strong vein of economic potential.
The CEO Roundtable is a call to all Zimbabweans to put their hands on the arch of destiny and turn it towards prosperity, love and abundant wealth for posterity.
The 2011 CEO Roundtable is an event not to be missed by all who have a contribution to make to Zimbabwe’s glorious future.
