She made a grand entrance on stage dressed in a sizzling jumpsuit while her backing vocalists donned all black outfits. A rapturous welcome from the crowd gave Tia the energy and zeal to deliver an awesome performance marking her return to live performance at a well attended show held at the Zimbabwe Germany Society. The show which was made possible through a partnership with Huawei, saw Tia born Portia Njazi living up to expectations of the crowd. Several show goers won themselves cell phones courtesy of Huawei.

It was her first live show on home soil and she worked magic from start to finish despite a heavy downpour which pounded the venue hours before the show.

Highlight of the performance was when she performed her latest R& B tracks including “Hush A lil”, a club banger , “Got A Man” which is a slow love track which resonated well with the appreciative audience.

The song “Girls Like Rock Star” proved to all and sundry that Tia was in a class of her own. The audience loved every minute of the performance and got to the dance floor when she belted out “Can’t Stand Your Ways”.

She wrapped her show with the hit song “Come A lil Closer” taken off her album “Spice It Up” before she sent the crowd into a frenzy with her chart topper “Boy You Got to know” ‘which the audience sang along.

No doubt , Tia has set herself high standards which shows how much effort she is putting into her music.

Like all good things she spent a lot of time perfecting her stage work and it paid off something which showed that good things do not come cheap.

She is planning on another show in Bulawayo next year before she embarks on her regional and international tour.

She has appealed to fans outside the country’s borders through her magic in penning love songs, a subject known by many whether good or bad.

Tia made a huge splash on the music scene with a Wheels of Fortune produced track “Boy You Got to Know” in 2003. The video was an instant hit featuring Zimbabwe’s own Hollywood export Tongai Arnold Chirisa.

The video later took the region by storm after its debut on Channel O, a DStv satellite music channel.
