Thunder-showers hitting most parts of the country will continue this week and farmers should seek advice from extension officers, the Meteorological Services Department said yesterday.

This comes as the department announced that the 2015-2016 national cloud seeding programme had started and two aircraft would be used.

Most parts of the country have been receiving rainfall since Sunday after a long dry spell which began mid last month.

“Rainfall activity started on Sunday and the country should expect week long thunder-showers countrywide,” the MSD said.

Notable falls were reported at Lupane with a maximum of 39mm, Chinhoyi 35mm, Harare-Belvedere 32mm, Tsholotsho 27mm and Nkayi 25mm.
