After staging two successful shows in Melborne and Perth, Australia, last weekend, Jah Prayzah has lined up a number of welcome gigs in and out of Harare this weekend. Tomorrow, the “Eriza” hitmaker will perform at The Volt. It will be his first time to perform at the joint since it opened. In an interview, Jah Prayzah, through his manager Keen Mushapaidze said they are excited to hold a welcome gig at The Volt for the first time.

“We will perform at The Volt for the first time on Thursday and we are excited because it will be our welcome party. “I am sure even the fans are as excited as we are. It will be a massive welcome party and we looking forward to seeing most fans there to welcome the band from Australia,” said Mushapaidze.

The Volt director Spencer Madziya also shared the same sentiments.

“We are excited that the star will perform at our joint for the first time, I mean whenever a star performs at this joint, it will be full of energy. I even remember when Sulu performed here, it was great.

“The show on Thursday will be a welcome gig and at the same time it will be a pre-valentine show, therefore we are truly excited,” said Madziya.

On Saturday, the musician will perform at Legends Sports Diner in Marondera.

Show promoter Daniel Masaiti who is basking in glory after being nominated for a special award at NAMA said he was looking forward to a great show.

“Jah Prayzah is on top of his game and the people of Marondera are happy that we have secured a date after his tour of Australia”, Masaiti said.

Masaiti also added that he had already engaged some artists from Marondera to come and support the musician.

“We have big names coming to our place but we should bear in mind that those artists from Marondera need our support as promoters.

“They are heading there, it is only a matter of time”, he added.

Meanwhile the musician said he is geared up for the ‘Friendship gig’ that will be held on February 25 at Private Lounge in the capital.

The musician is excited as he was nominated a number of times at the National Arts Merit Awards which will be held on February 13 at 7Arts Theatre in Avondale.
