When US-EU imperialism celebrates their cultural legacy a heavy emphasis is placed on conquerors, wealth and political influence over the nations who have been subjected to their brutality and domination. The deliberate attempts by our former colonial and slave masters to force this narrative down our throats overshadows a rather barbaric sub-culture commonly known as serial killing. In British History you have Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, who between 1963 and 1965 were responsible for five child abductions and murders known as the Moors Murders.

The people of Herefordshire, England, will never forget Fred and Rose West, who between 1967 and 1987 murdered and raped 12 women.

Usually serial killers are mentally unstable whose murderous rampages illustrate insanity and anger that spirals out of control, it is even more tragic when these horrific acts are committed by married couples, whose main bond and connection is an obsession with taking the lives of innocent children women and men.

Throughout Mother Africa today are the children of the colonists who from birth are poisoned by family members into believing that recolonising our sacred homeland is their historical responsibility. This trend is prevalent especially in the Southern African region where our main expression of resistance was protracted armed struggle that resulted in monumental victories in Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Based on Africa’s current strategic and political make-up these children more than likely will meet as young adults and begin to exchange ideas, in circles where the discussions and activities are centred around democracy and human rights, which on the surface is a departure from their ancestors whose expression resulted in the killing, maiming and crippling of Africans everywhere.

What should not be overlooked is the children of the colonists are even more determined to maintain neo-colonialism in Africa, than their parents were in defending settler colonial regimes to the death. This overview should provide Zimbabweans in particular and Africans in general how dangerous the married couple of Zimbabwean-born Douglas Coltart and South African-born Chloe McGrath, have become as they have emerged as the key players in carrying out the US-EU imperialist regime change agenda on Zimbabwe in Washington, DC.

Coltart is the son of former legal secretary of MDC and Minister of Education, Sports and Culture David Coltart while McGrath is a South African Fulbright grantee.

He just recently concluded a stint as the Uhuru Fellow at the International Republican Institute(IRI) and McGrath is Africa Fellow at the Atlantic Group, also based in Washington, DC.

What initially appears to be rather odd concerning McGrath’s decision not to use her husband’s last name in political circles actually makes all the sense in the world, because it would completely shatter her profile as a public policy expert who believes in objective dialogue in resolving political conflicts.

This would make her the laughing stock around think tank circles in Washington who thrive off their ability to pose as the most politically sophisticated minds in the US, especially since her husband is the son of one of the most senior members of MDC, who was tickled pink when his son and McGrath married in Blantyre, Malawi, on December 31, 2013.

When Coltart and McGrath write about Zimbabwe they must be taken to task on what is actually their main political strength, which represents the famous mantra if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, both of them inherited a political base that young Coltart’s father has spent three decades building for the purpose of overthrowing President Mugabe and ZANU-PF in the name of democracy and human rights.

The job Coltart held at IRI was made possible by his father who in 1992 was part of their international observer team for elections in Kenya.

Young Coltart’s father then attended a conference in Mombassa, Kenya, organised by IRI as a member of the Africa Democracy Network.

Both David and Douglas Coltart have been paraded around by US-EU imperialism as the quintessential father and son white liberal model concerning advocacy for Democracy and Human Rights in Mother Africa, yet they both laboured loyally for a right- wing think tank chaired currently by none other than the right-wing and 2008 US presidential hopeful Senator John McCain. This connection shows David Coltart is still proud of being recognised as the best recruit of squad 7/75 of the British South Africa Police Force in Mashonaland, Matabeleland South and Masvingo provinces.

What is also abundantly clear is the influence of David Coltart on Pastor Evan Mawarire’s opportunist #ThisFlag movement, when the good pastor was addressing the Atlantic Group which was arranged and orchestrated by McGrath, he boasted about the beauty of the Zimbabweans who sang the national anthem and waved the flag during the 36th over at a cricket match to protest President Mugabe and ZANU-PF maintaining power for 36 years.

One characteristic synonymous with neo-colonialist mouthpieces like the good pastor is the inability to think for themselves and act independently of our former colonial and slave masters. This reactionary gesture was an un- original carbon copy of using cricket which was done in 2003 by Andy Flower and Henry Olonga wearing black armbands at the cricket World Cup which symbolised the alleged death of democracy in Zimbabwe. This plan was orchestrated by, guess who, David Coltart.

At IRI young Douglas had many vague tasks and responsibilities, one of which was contributing to the Africa Division grant proposals programme design and project formulation, which explains why the good pastor keeps him extremely close as he intends to take his well-crafted routine as a man of God who is a voice for the voiceless, as he auditions and begs for financial support. It doesn’t hurt to have a daddy who enjoys an open door policy at the US State Department standing firmly by your side.

We are almost certain that young Douglas will ask his loving father, who is the director of SAFDEM (Southern African Democracy Resource Bank) which is a civil society organisation funded by the Norwegian and Canadian governments, to set up a meeting for the good pastor for the purpose of begging and crying for more sympathy and support.

McGrath’s expertise is on the SADC region with some of her writing focused on what she considers a reigniting conflict in Mozambique, political fragility in South Africa and Zimbabwe’s ongoing political and economic crisis. When the good pastor talks about the violent political culture in Zimbabwe this is not only a deviation from the commandment thou shall not lie, it also ignores the dominant sentiment of the entire nation, that Zimbabwe resolves conflicts and differences without external interference.

If the good pastor adheres to this aspect of the political climate he will have to terminate his relationship with young Coltart and McGrath who have helped make him an overnight star in the imperialist world.

The devious nature in how Coltart and McGrath choose to carry out their political activities in Zimbabwe in particular and Africa in general, show us all even though they are born on African soil, the paternalistic nature of the colonialists and imperialists that led them to believe they will always know what is best for us continues to linger in the hearts and souls of their offspring.
