Last Friday you could have been anywhere in Harare, but those that turned up at Misty’s at Newlands Shopping Centre must have had a whale of a time with Tanga Wekwa Sando who put up a classic act at the launch of his latest album “Katsindi”.The veteran township love music singer had everything right from the PA system to the playlist which had jazz aficionados in the likes of Daves Guzha of Theatre In the Park  and musician Bernie Bismark among others who were part of the mature crowd dancing from start to finish.

“I would like to thank all my fans it was a great show and a beautiful crowd. It was our first show and we got love from everyone.
“The important thing is we are going to do another show on Independence Day by popular demand so we look forward to it,” Tanga Wekwa Sando said.

To add colour to what was already a good outing, Tanga Wekwa Sando showed his gratitude by giving free copies of the new album to his fans.

Particularly interesting about the show was the energy with which Tanga and his partner in song John Muyambo rocked the crowd.
Muyambo who is affectionately known as Chibhodhoro was up to the task dressed in an all white garment similar to those worn by apostolic sects.

“Hallelujah, hallelujah,” he screamed and the crowd responded by wild cheers.

He did his thing on the congas much to the delight of the appreciative crowd.
