Taking charge of your mind Prophet Makandiwa

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

If you read the bible you will realise that it was easy for Jesus to perform any kind of miracle you can think of. You never saw Jesus struggling to perform a miracle; He would perform miracles that would leave thousands in awe. He was able to do all the miracles with so much ease without any struggle because performing miracles is His nature.

But, if you look at all the miracles Jesus did there is one that He really wanted to perform which was a bit difficult for Him, not because He did not have enough power to perform it but because it required other people’s participation. There is a very powerful statement Jesus said in the book of Matthew 8:20; He said “. . . The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

”This was God Himself admiring foxes and birds of the air because they had holes and nests while He had no place to lay down His head.

In this scripture Jesus was not talking about accommodation because there is a scripture where He took some of John’s disciples and showed them His house. (Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? He saith unto them, Come and see.

They went and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. John 1:38-39). When Jesus is telling you that He does not have anywhere to lay down His head, He is talking about ideas. He came as God but people were finding it difficult to give Him a place in their thinking where He could give them a kingdom way of thinking.

Jesus was moving around looking for a place to lay down His head, a place where He could impart ideas, thoughts and imaginations. That place was proving to be difficult to come by hence He was complaining about it. Jesus Himself had His way of thinking, that is why if you look at His life from the day He came to the moment He left, though He had some challenges here and there but His life was so perfect, pure and very powerful.

It was all because of His thinking pattern; the way He would think is what gave Him the life He got during His time here on earth. If He could get a place where He can lay down His head and cause people to think the way He thinks, reason the way He reasons, perceive the way He perceives you will see the benefits.

Imagine Jesus Himself willing to give you that ability to also think the way He thinks like the bible says that we now have the mind of Christ. God wants you to see things the way He sees things and respond to situations the way He responds as God. He is looking for a place to lay down His head and once he finds that place to lay down His thoughts and ideas in your life the benefits are amazing.

Imagination is the power God has given to us and we have to put it to work. We have to keep on practising it on a daily basis until it works. Imagination is the ability you have already but you might just be using it in a bad way. Whatever you imagine can either bring good results or bad results. Like the book of Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he . . . ”; you become a product of your thinking. What you continuously think about in life is what you become.

Your life becomes a result or a sum total of what you have been thinking about from the moment you started thinking. You have to be very careful as to what you think about. Your brain has to be exercised inorder for it to work properly. When God gave you a brain He did not want to be talking to you on a daily basis.

He did not want to talk to you about everything; that was His idea. You should not just look at your brain as a physical thing, look at it as another means of how God communicates with you. Your brain is one of the channels God uses to communicate with you. It is scientifically proven that 89 percent of people do not know how to properly use their brains; not because the brains are not there but how to use them is the problem.

Our brains are a gift that God has given to us and we have to use them properly. To most people it is like its painful to reason. They are quick to believe certain stories without any proof and before they can do any investigation.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2).

From this scripture you have to understand that unless we get our minds renewed, there will be no transformation in whatever we are doing. There will be no transformation in our marriages, businesses and even in our relationship with God.

The quality of your brain determines the quality of your life. Most diseases we now have during our time are as a result of our inability to properly use our brains.

They are emanating from our inability to properly use the brain God has given to us.

If we can correct the way we perceive, reason and imagine, we can get rid of a lot of problems that we have now.
