Sunshine Studios will launch a new riddim called Silent Killer on Sunday at Ochi City. The launch will see artists Guspy Warrior, Killer T, Sweetness, Trevor Dongo and Taurai Mandebvu performing. The stable, which is credited for contributing to the rise of Zimdancehall, was formed in 2006 as an idea from producers namely Shelton “Sheltung” Masiiwa and Tinashe “Tainash” Mahechani.

The stable walked away with the Best Producer of the Year Award at the inaugural Zimdancehall Awards in March this year.
Sunshine Studios has recorded dancehall artistes including Winky D, Sniper and Freeman and has produced popular riddims like Life journey, Dangerzone, Final Touch, Ninjazone, Unstoppable and Citting Edge among others.

Samuel Saungweme, who is the boss of the record label, said there after they successfully celebrated their eighth anniversary recently they found it proper to launch another riddim.

“Achievements come only when you are doing something that will be appreciated and we are going to launch this riddim that we hope people will love,” said Saungweme.

He said the number of awards they have won gave them the confidence of the products they launch.
“We won several awards which gives us the strength to continue doing the best,” said Saungweme.

Boss Werras, as Saungweme is popularly known, said they have since refurbished their studio, which is located in Kuwadzana and are looking forward to starting recording artistes from other genres.

“We have been working on the studio to meet international standards and we are done on that. We are now capable of recording others artistes who do not sing dancehall.”
