Dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu continues to get favour from companies as he was recently appointed ambassador of Corporate 24, a medical aid centre.
Suluman who will be marketing the medical aid brand said the appointment came as a surprise to him.
“This came as a surprise. They phoned me to announce their intention and I am happy about the development. I feel humbled to have some people who appreciate my talent and character.

“As part of my roles I will be encouraging people to join the medical aid and I will be able to meet the demands as required,” he said.
Corporate 24 marketing manager Jessica Kurangwa said they chose Suluman because of the good qualities he possesses.

“We saw it fit to endorse Suluman because of the age group we were targeting. We would like young couples to know the importance of having a medical aid.
“We also noticed that Suluman has a huge following and has a good reputation in the society,” she said.

Kurangwa said he will be doing adverts for them, leading corporate and social responsibility programmes, he will also be explaining about the medical aid to his fans.
The “Sean Timba” hit-maker is not new to endorsement deals he has been endorsed by Population Services International, Royco, Goldtech, Alfa Omega Dailies, and Zimbabwe National Road Administration among others.

Several companies and organisations have realised the power of musicians in promoting their brands and this has seen many musicians signing endorsement deals.
The likes of Oliver Mtukudzi, Alick Macheso, Charles Charamba, Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima and Winky D among others have all been endorsed.

Superstar Mtukudzi features on a Boom Washing Powder advert that is aired on ZBCTV. The grand dad of music is also Unicef goodwill ambassador.
Stunner and Roki feature on Econet Wireless billboards encouraging people to download their music as ringing tones. Winky D successfully campaigned for male circumcision for Population Services International.
