Former Extra Kwazvose drummer Obert Gomba and vocalist Franco Slomo on Monday exchanged harsh words over the split.
Franco posted on their Facebook page that the split was caused by other band members who decided to approach Alick Macheso, their former boss, for employment.
“When we started Extra Kwazvose we had a vision and that vision meant that a lot of work was to be done. We employed talented youngsters to fill in some positions in the band. Everything went well ever since we started and we would like to thank you guys for supporting us the way you did. It is unfortunate that some key members decided to go back to our former boss for the reasons better known to them,” reads the post.

Gomba was quick to respond saying he would “expose” Franco to the public if he continues spreading lies.
“Leave me alone. You are the one who caused the split and now you want to play safe by feeding wrong information to people. You are making me angry and if you continue spreading lies I will expose you to the last. I am angry with you,” Gomba commented.

When contacted yesterday the talented drummer had no kind words for his former colleague, saying he  was shocked by those claims.
“This is totally unacceptable because he is the one who went around telling people that he has formed a splinter group but now on the public forum he is accusing us of going back to Macheso,” said Gomba.

Franco insisted in a separate interview that the guys were the first to throw their instruments down.
“Noel was the first to call me saying he wanted to take a break and the following morning Obert did the same. The following morning they were all spotted at Aquatic Complex seeking jobs at Macheso’s camp. Now it is a problem because we have let the public know about this,” fumed Franco.

The group separated last week with other guitarists reportedly approaching Macheso for work.
Franco insisted that he will be working with other instrumentalists to revive the group.
