STARBILL have appointed Patson Muzavazi as their new head coach after the elevation of Lloyd Chitembwe to the position of director of coaches last month. Muzavazi was named head coach on Monday and began training the team on Tuesday ahead of their tie against Commando Bullets tomorrow at Commando. Starbill secretary-general, Kudakwashe Mugari, confirmed the appointment and said they have faith in the new gaffer who has worked with teams like Flame Lilly and JMC.
“He was appointed coach on Monday. To us the coming of a new coach means we have strengthened our technical department. We just want to finish on a respectable position. He has experience in the Northern Region. His experience and knowledge is vital to us right now.

“Chitembwe is just an oasis of knowledge, you get everything from him so we wanted to exploit more from him unlike when he was with the seniors only.
“We are an academy, we want to groom players and we want him to train them the modern techniques of the game so that when we sell our players to clubs like Dynamos they are fully developed and we get our money,” said Mugari.

Muzavazi said he was excited by his new role. “I have come to do the job that I know best not looking at what the other coach was doing. We are just going to work with the players for better results.

“What is just needed is to work hard because in Division One especially in the Northern Region there is no small team so what is needed is to work hard,” said Muzavazi.
