LONDON. — Harry Kane believes Tottenham’s FA Cup meeting with Leicester will provide only limited clues to the outcome of tonight’s English Premier League soccer clash between the clubs.

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester will return to White Hart Lane just four days after Kane’s last-minute penalty saved Tottenham from an early exit from the competition and set up a replay at the King Power stadium next week.

Both sides made changes for the cup clash, with Kane making his late contribution after appearing as a second half substitute. The England forward will return to Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up for a game that could see Spurs, currently sitting in fourth spot, move to within one point of Leicester who have maintained their impressive start and go into the latest round of matches in second place.

And speaking after the cup tie, Kane said: “I think it will be a different game in the Premier League. Both teams are near the top of the table so we’re looking forward to that one.

“This was a little taster and now we play them Wednesday and the week after as well. We’ll have seen enough of them by then! Hopefully we’ll take some points off them.”

Kane’s penalty was his 50th goal for the club and the striker’s explosive form since breaking into the Spurs first team last season has seen him watched by Europe’s top clubs including Real Madrid.

But the 22-year-old insists he has no plans to leave the north London club and is happy to continue his development at White Hart Lane.

“There will always be rumours flying about but I’m happy here. The club is in good shape and we have a great future, so I’m raring to go and we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“We have a lot of young players who are getting better with each game. We are getting more experience with every game we play and we can only improve.”

Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen will join Kane in returning to the line-up. — AFP.
