Dancehall musician Soul Jah Love who was injured together with other band members in a car accident in Gweru last week said it was by God’s grace that they survived from the horror crash.

In an interview the musician said he only heard the sound of the burst tyre afterwards, and could not control the car.

“The good thing is that we were not speeding and I thank God that we all survived the crash,” he said.

“Hove Huru” song maker said he was on wheels while other band members were busy singing a new song he had composed in Kwekwe.

“I started a song in Kwekwe and I sang it so the other band members were taking turns to sing it when the accident occurred,” he said.

He is now recovering at home and on Saturday he will perform at Harare Cup Clash at City Sports Centre.

“I am recovering now and I want to thank all those who prayed for me and others who assisted me and the band members who were injured,” he said.

He blasted those who wished him dead saying, no one has the right to take away anybody’s life except God.

“There were people who circulated a message last week saying I died after the crash which is very bad. A lot of celebrities have been victims of such falsehoods but only God has the power to take life not people,” he said.

“Chibaba” as many dancehall fanatics call him said his band members were responding well to medication and by end of this week everything will be well.

“I think we will have some new tracks before Harare Cup Clash Show so that people understand what I meant,” he said.
