Zim dancehall act Soul Jah Love says he will use Sting 2014 battle contest slated for the City Sports Centre on November 8 to prove that he is lyrically more gifted than Seh Calaz.
Soul Jah Love and Seh Calaz who both hail from Mbare are perceived as arch rivals in Zim dancehall and they have always traded barbs in song.

“Sting 2014 is just around the corner tobva tasvikisana kuma pena (we’ve now reached the climax). Tichaona anopona, neanogona neachadonha. Kune vamwe vafana vabvira kudhara vachikwatisa vanhu vakuru ndirikuda kuvaratidza kuti chibabamukuru chakadya nduru ndochibhuru kungoitira kuti vanhu vazvinzwisise kuti vana, vanana. (We want to see who wins and who falls. There are young people that threaten their elders and I want to show them their elder is powerful and the best. People should understand that kids will always be kids.)

“Ndorepesector mafans angu, ndoda kukukumbirai mese kuti musakande macan kusvika ndamedza munhu uyu zvakanaka.

Handisikuda kuti zvizonzi akawinner nekuti mafans ake akakandira Calaz macan. Aiwa ka issue kema tissue. (I respect my fans and I urge you not to disrupt the show until I destroy this person. I do not want people to say I won because my fans threw cans at Seh Calaz)
“So don’t worry yourself, Conquering Shumba ready fi di ting (ready for the thing), da real dancehall king come and notice when we sing (at) Sting 2014 big up courtesy of Boss Chipaz, ah taafulaz, matsaga toakanda toyaz anenge ana Seh Calaz (we will destroy Seh Calaz and his team). No to violence, no to can throwing. Regai ndipedze munhu wangu zvakanaka,” he said in an online  promotional video.

Soul Jah Love, known for his flawless chants where he spits punchline after punchline, says he will not be taking any prisoners at the contest come November 8.

Organised by Chipaz Promotions, Sting 2014 will be held under the banner “Say No To Violence”.

The show will pit Seh Calaz against Soul Jah Love as the main event.

The two-arch rivals will go tune-for-tune which means that they will both appear on stage at the same time and battle it out.

Seh Calaz who is the protagonist of the “Mabhanditi” will lead his charges against Jah Love’s Conquering Family in a battle for supremacy that promises fireworks.

Between them, there is a rich discography of ‘diss’ songs which are likely to send the crowd into a frenzy during the face-off.

However, the two artistes have maintained that there is no blood between them as the “beef” only exists on stage. There is also a host other artistes who will settle scores at the Sting. Lady Squanda will go head-to-head with Lady B while Badman will square-off with Platinum Prince.

Quonfuzed will battle Terminator, Jiggaz versus Ricky Fire and last but least Bounty Lisa will face off X Patriot.

There is also battle of the sounds systems whereby Mighty Ducks will compete against Fyah Links while Black Spider will taken on Red Fox Family.
