Award winning hip-hop clique Swag On Deck  more popularly known as SOD threw a three-day mega birthday party for one of its founder members Gerald Jellz  who turned 23. The party, held at Courtney Hotel cost an estimated $4 000.
Scores of revellers were treated to music, finger snacks, braai and wine as well as spirits.

The birthday boy Jellz thanked fellow musicians for organising the party.

“SOD is now a big brand with hardworking and talented youths, who share the same sentiments of upgrading Zimbabwe’s arts scene. We always work as a family sharing everything in the name of love. I would like to thank the group members for showing me love and just being there for me.

“To our fans, we would like to say music is a business so they should expect great things in the near future. Another big celebration will be held on the group’s sixth anniversary later this year,” said Jellz.

It was glitz and glamour as youths thronged Courtney Hotel in the Avenues area for the second day of SOD boss Jellz party.

The party started after a tour of greater Harare where guests were driven in top-of-the range cars just like in Hollywood’s Super 16 series.

“A total of US$4000 was used over the three days. Guests were treated to good food and beer at the pool side.

“Despite the chilly weather, the ladies braved the weather getting out in skimpy outfits,” Jellz said.

SOD have planned to rope in award winning music promoters such as Chipaz Promotions to celebrate the group’s sixth anniversary scheduled for September.
