DVD album that features songs by the late Solomon.
It has been 15 years since Solomon died but his legacy still lives on in Chase.
In an interview, Chase said five videos of his late brother’s would be featured on the DVD.
“I might have done a successful video of ‘Banolila’ but this time I am going to shoot five videos of songs by the late Solomon. This is meant to continue with the legacy that my brother started a long time ago,” he said.
Chase said he was also going to include five songs from his previous albums in bid to spice up the album.
“I made a promise with my brother when he was still alive that I would always work for him. So this time I want to bring my brother’s music in a single package through videos,” he said.
Chase said he would be working with Inkululeko Yabatsha School of Arts on choreography for all the videos.
“I have worked with Iyasa on ‘Banolila’ and it was a fantastic job that brought the memories of the good old days. So this time we have decided to do a bigger project that will rock the airwaves,” he said.
Chase said during his late brother’s era there were singles with only two songs but now they wanted to do more.
“We want to take advantage of the DVD that can carry more than 10 songs. We want our fans to enjoy Solomon’s music and we want them to know that he was a legend in his own right,” he said.
Chase said he expects this DVD to be out before year-end, as they would be doing a lot of travelling and shooting of music videos.
“We would be going as far as Ntoli in Plumtree and this is the home area of Solomon. By so doing we would be showing music lovers where Solomon grew up and the support he had,” he said.
Skuza said the 10-track DVD would include songs by Solomon like “Mwana Muntu”, “Makhumalo”, “Maria Maria”, “Ntombi Yami”, “Patimile” and on the same DVD Chase would have songs like “Abalalanga”, “Umfundisi”, “Holly-Holly”, “Umuziwami” and “Mama (Don’t Cry)”.
Skuza said fans should expect fireworks from this DVD compilation, as it would have new ideas different from what they saw on “Banolila”.
“We got a good response on the video of ‘Banolila’ because of the unique ideas that we had introduced.
“So this time we would try to include different concepts in our videos that we are working on,” he said.
