Sharon Macheso who is the daughter of sungura ace Alick Macheso and her better half, Kudakwashe Munetsi are set to tie the knot on August 11. A source close to the development said Sharon wanted to make it a private affair following negative reports that have been written about her family in the past.
“She is suspecting that all the stories were fabricated by her enemies so she wants to make it private,” she said.

The source added that they have settled for the Heroes Day because Macheso will be having a show in the United Kingdom the following week.

Sharon confirmed the development yesterday though she could not give further details.

“Yes it will be happening on the 11th of August and at this point I will say nothing more,” she teased.

Asked if they were planning on spending big on the wedding, Sharon said she opted for a small and private wedding.

“Solemnization will occur at the Salvation Army Church in Waterfalls and a reception will be held at Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton,” she said.

Sharon customarily married South Africa-based Kudakwashe in February.

The ceremony took place at Macheso’s Waterfalls home where Munetsi reportedly paid $12000 as bride price excluding cattle and other goodies.

Sharon has been in the media eye for a series of negative stories which have never been substantiated.

Her family has dismissed the negative stories as sheer malice on the part of so-called informants.
