SHABANIE Mine coach John Phiri says he is relaxed ahead of the Zvishavane Derby against FC Platinum at Mandava tomorrow.
Phiri will be taking charge of his first Zvishavane Derby.
“I am relaxed ahead of my first competitive Derby match against Platinum and fans must come and enjoy football,” said Phiri.

“I don’t expect any violence as they must accept the outcome of the match.

“I just want to prove that money can’t buy everything. As Shabanie we have very little resources and I want to produce something tomorrow although the match will be tough.”

Phiri lost 10 players when the window opened.

Forward Daniel Chakupe packed his bags and is expected to rejoin his former paymasters, ZPC Kariba.

Nelson Merson has not been reporting for training, the same as Aces Youth Academy star Brett Muzengerere.

Hardlife Muvundi appears to have gone back to Masvingo United while Solomon Ndlovu, Benny Chikanda, Shawn Kwaramba, Simbarashe Domingo and Nigel Hunga have all left the club.

“My youngsters can upset any team in the country. Whoever plays well can get the results and stars are born in derby matches,” said Phiri.

“I am looking to new stars being born.

“I do not fear Lloyd (Mutasa) but I respect him. He has done very well at Platinum and he has my respect for that. He is my good friend and we talk but on the day we are going to fight for 90 minutes.”
