MOSES Chunga says all that matters now is where his bread is buttered, and not where he made his name, as he takes his resurgent Harare City for a battle against Dynamos in a Castle Lager Premiership showdown at Rufaro tomorrow.

Chunga, who usually refers to Dynamos as his home because of his history of success as a player at the club, yesterday vowed he will be out to continue with his winning form on his new job at the Sunshine Boys.

This will be his first assignment at home after beating Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1 and then Bulawayo City 2-0 in their backyards in his opening matches in charge of the club.

“The issue of myself being a Dynamos son will always follow me till death, but I know fully well that my bread is buttered at Harare City.

“The sentimental aspect will be put aside. It is always like that in life when faced with competition.

“When I joined Dynamos my brother was already there but during training he would lunge at me with an open foot and then blame me for getting into the tackle.

“There are three points at the stake and we have prepared well for Dynamos. Everyone is raring to go.

“I have said this before and it seems you don’t know me well. But I will repeat it, second best is not for me. Losing is not something that I take lying down. I always hope for positive results,” said Chunga.

Harare City are on the ascendency following a slow start to their campaign but only one point separates them with Dynamos on the log standings.

They are on sixth place with 15 points while Dynamos are eighth with 14.

Dynamos have also been making strides to repair their campaign under Lloyd Mutasa and Murape Murape.

They won their previous two games and are upbeat following the 2-0 triumph over Ngezi Platinum in their last match courtesy of goals from skipper Augustine Mbara and Mutuma.

But Chunga is not moved by his opponents’ form. Instead he is having his own positive headaches with the talents at his disposal.

Chunga said he is thrilled with the depth in his squad and the competition it has created especially with the return of Blessing Moyo, Raphael Manuvire and Farai Madhananga from national team duty with the Warriors who were in Namibia for the COSAFA Cup tournament. “This has been the most difficult week for me because of selection headache.

“There is a lot of competition for places and we will settle for the best. But I still have today and tomorrow, I will sleep over it,” he said.

Stand-in captain Francisco Zekumbawira, who accompanied him at yesterday’s press conference, appears to have rediscovered his scoring touch.
