Saurombe goes into today’s final round leading a 56-member field at Chapman. The golfer has maintained a good run after rounds of 70 and 70. Playing at his home course, Saurombe will need to keep focused for him to triumph. Having won the Leopard Rock Classic and missing the Lowveld Pro-Am after losing the playoffs, Saurombe may get his cards right this time.

Brian Gondo is in second place after shooting 71 and 71. Gondo will play in the same ball with Saurombe and could fancy his chances of exerting pressure in the head-to-head duel. Ignatius Mketekete and Day Muyambo were tied on third place, trailing the leaders by three strokes. Both golfers are playing well and may strike gold today if they get their game right. Peter Banda is tied on fifth place with Anywhere Katembenuka. The two go into today’s round on four-over-par. Chapman is so challenging at this time of the year and it has shown on the scores.

The curtain comes down on the US$20 000 Golden Pilsner Harare Open today with a prize-giving day latter in the day. The sponsors have the naming rights for the local tour for the next three years.
