RITA ORA collapsed on the set of a photo shoot in Miami Beach, Florida, on Monday. The singer was rushed to hospital after appearing to pass out, according to onlookers. She was seen being carried out of her make-up trailer and stretchered into an ambulance before being taken to the emergency room where she was treated for “heat exhaustion and dehydration’’.

Dr David Farcy MD, chairman of the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, told MailOnline in a statement: “Rita Ora was treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration at our hospital. She was discharged and is fine.’’

The singer was spotted looking unwell just before it occurred.
Rita was shooting the new campaign for Madonna’s Material Girl clothing line in 30 degrees Celsius heat when she started feeling ill.

A halt was called to the shoot and she was brought back to her trailer before Miami ocean rescue and beach patrol officers arrived on the scene.

After an hour inside the trailer, Rita was still feeling sick so was brought to a local emergency room.
The blonde star was clad in a dress from the collection and wearing bright red lipstick for the shoot.

Although she was wearing a hat at one stage to protect her from the blazing sun, she was seen looking physically ill as she held on to a car to remain upright.

Rita also wore black ankle boots and a tattoo on her leg was clearly visible.
Rita announced in June that she had signed up to become the latest face of the brand, following in the footsteps of Kelly Osbourne and Georgia May Jagger.

Madonna and her 16-year-old daughter Lourdes (known as Lola), were equally excited, commenting in a Press statement: “Rita is a talented beauty but what really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style.

“On stage or off, in photos or on the street — she’s a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about!’’
Rita is believed to have been recommended by Lola, who co-designs the collection with her mother.

A source told The Sun earlier this year: “Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to  many of her gigs. She persuaded her mum to see her.’’

London-born Rita, who is currently dating Calvin Harris, was apparently thrilled to be offered the opportunity and hoped it would help get her music more exposure in the US

“Rita jumped at the chance because she’s such a fan of the Queen of Pop,’’ a source told The Sun.
“She also hopes it will help her crack the States in the same way she has the UK.’

Of course, Rita is no stranger to the fashion world: Signed to Next models, she replaced Alexa Chung as the face of footwear brand Superga and regularly sits front row at fashion week.

The label Emilio Pucci designed costumes for her tour and she counts supermodel Cara Delevingne among her closest friends. — Daily Mail.
