United Kingdom-based award-winning rapper Tichaona Monera aka Rhyme Assassin has opened a recoding label called Uncle Rhymes Records in Bulawayo. In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Assassin said he was moved to come up with the initiative because of his great passion for music. “I started Uncle Rhymes because l have great passion for music and want to help my fellow artistes to record their stuff.

“I discovered that there are a lot of Zimbabwean artistes at home who are very talented yet they do not have resources that can expose them to the whole world.I hope they utilise this facility well,” he said.

Assassin explained how the record name came about.
“The record’s name came from my sister’s son who loves my songs so much and he calls me Uncle Rhymes and that is the reason why decided to give it that name. I regard him as my number one fan,” he said.
Meanwhile, Assasin has signed a young Bulawayo based artiste Tnyc real name Tendai Musariranwa on new single “Party Pipo”.

“We have a new single that we are launching today and it was produced by JA Productions, mixed and mastered by Polite Sithole aka P2daoh.
“I have signed my long time friend Tnyce because of his skills on the microphone and vision on song writing and he is capable of leading new artistes in the right direction.”
Assassin said he will be making a video for the song in December.

“A video is definitely coming and we are in the middle of talks Andy Cutta one of Zim finest to shoot it for us when I come to Zimbabwe for December shows,” he said.
