SECOND-placed Black Rhinos will face another stern test today when they host unpredictable Karoi United at Rimuka in the Northern Region Division One Soccer League.

Rhinos were held to a goalless draw by DStv Rangers on Wednesday at Old Hararians Sports Club.

The army side have 18 points, just two behind Ngezi Platinum.

Black Rhinos coach Droment Chirova said he is expecting victory.

“We are focusing on the game. It’s a must-win but we are also not undermining Karoi United. It’s a good and seasoned side in Division One.

“We want to collect three points. We are at home so we want to utilise home advantage. The boys are prepared after a tough assignment against DStv Rangers. So we want to continue from where we left on Wednesday.

“The department which we are worried about is the upfront, the finishing, it’s not effective. So that’s the department we are working on.

“We are creating chances but finishing is a problem. As we are going towards the halfway mark of the season, we are looking forward to acquiring players to beef up our strike force,” said Chirova.

The former Premiership side should expect a tricky encounter after Karoi who surprised Mushowani last week after snatching a 1-0 win in Madziva.

In other matches today DStv Rangers have a date against ZRP FC at Morris and their coach, Newton Chitewe, said they will be cautious when they take on the police side.

“It’s a tough game because they have two wins while we have a win and a draw so they have the advantage.

“We have to be cautious in our approach because they are an experienced side and it’s a difficult game. I think the better team of the day will win because we are both playing well,” said Chitewe.

Herentals have a date against Ngezi Platinum at the National Sports Stadium and it promises to be an exciting match as they seek to bounce back to winning ways after going down to Blue Swallows during the mid-week games. Ngezi would want to stretch their lead on the log table.
