DAR ES SALAAM. — MORE than 800 agriculture experts have converged in Tanzania for the Agribusiness Congress East Africa. The two-day event is on-going in Dar es Salaam where the experts are discussing the region’s blossoming farming sector.

Tanzanian Vice President, Dr Mohamed Gharib Bilal was scheduled to deliver the welcome address at the opening session, during which the Tanzanian ministers of Agriculture Food Security and Co-operatives, Christopher Chiza, and of Livestock and Fisheries, Dr Titus Kamani Mlengeya, were also set to deliver keynotes to the agriculture experts.

The experts have gathered for the conference and exhibition to focus on finance, best practice and sustainability in the region’s farming sector.

Innovation and technology is at the forefront of the exhibition where some of the leading suppliers in the industry are displaying their services and solutions.

Over 40 leading local and international companies are showcasing their solutions. The expo also features a German pavilion with well-known agri suppliers including Claas, Grimme and Pottinger.— CAJ News.
