ZPC KARIBA captain Tawanda “Rambo” Munyanduri says they are ready to drag themselves over the finishing line and be crowned champions.
They date CAPS United at Gwanzura in a tie whose outcome will settle this season’s contest for the league championship. “Given what’s at stake, this is one game we can’t afford to lose, we just have to complete the job and make sure that the hard work and commitment we put into this campaign over the course of the season counts for something.

“The morale in camp is at its peak and we have prepared well for this game, with everyone raring to go.  Because we want to win this game more that CAPS United do, we are going to give it our all.

“However, that does not mean we will exert pressure on ourselves, but will simply play the game our usual way that has taken us thus far.  It will be tough game, given that some, among our players, and our coach were CAPS United last year, which will give the tie a feeling of familiarity, making it an intriguing tie,” Munyanduri said.

Although this is one match that those wearing green-tinted eyeglasses wouldn’t mind losing, given how they cheered in Saul Chaminuka and his troops’ corner against fierce foes Dynamos, Munyanduri said this was a tricky tie.

“Throughout the season, we taught ourselves to fight our own battles and not rely on how other teams fare in their respective matches and this has made us a very strong unit.

“We have enough worries of our own than to bother ourselves with what will be going on elsewhere.  The team has not benefited from anyone’s favours and we certainly won’t need a hand now.

“If CAPS United fans prefer their team to lose this game, then that is their matter but, on our part, we are playing this game to win,” he said.
Winning this game, and effectively the championship, will be a glorious moment to savour for ZPC Kariba’s veteran players, among whom include Munyanduri, Limited Chikafa, Pride Tafirenyika, Tawanda Nyamandwe, Elvis Meleka and David Rediyoni.
