SA-based model and musician Vanessa Sibanda, who is known as Queen Vee, is making strides in the Zimdancehall circles as she has released a potential hit featuring “Mudendere” hitmaker Dobba Don titled “Varidzi VePattern”. The single comes after Queen Vee’s other collaboration with dancehall singer Soul Jah Love titled “Mari Mari”.Queen Vee brought parts of the CBD and Mbare to a standstill at the weekend as fans jostled to get a glimpse of her while she gave away copies of her new track.

In an interview, the 27-year-old musician’s manager Farai Chamatowa said she is proving her musical flexibility.

“Queen is a versatile artiste and is always looking to do collaborations with as many artistes as possible and we cannot state that she is now a Zimdancehall artiste.

“She is doing music for the masses of Zimbabwe with her fellow Zimbabweans regardless of the genre. We are up to something amazing,” Chamatowa added

Chamatowa also paid homage to Dobba Don who he regarded as one of the hottest artistes in the Zimdancehall circles at present.

Chillspot duo Levels and Fantan endorsed the track as a banger after a sampling session at their Mbare studios and expressed interest in having Queen Vee on some of their up coming riddims.

Queen Vee showed her versatility on “Mari Mari”, which gave Soul Jah Love his Channel O debut.

Queen Vee has so far amassed more local support through collaborations and the popularity of Zimdancehall can help her gain more ground while her connections in South Africa can benefit local dancehall artistes break onto the regional market.
