Utakataka Express frontman Peter “Young Igwee” Moyo has lamented the lack of funds as the major cause for the delay in releasing his “Mushonga Mukuru” DVD.
In an interview over the weekend at Dandaro Inn where he shared stage with Leonard Zhakata, the Young Igwe said the DVD could take longer than anticipated due to cash flow problems.

“The problem is I have been financing this project alone and since we are not getting reasonable appearance fees from live shows, the DVD will be delayed,” he said.

He said poor turnouts have affected most live shows.
“We are using some of the money from live shows on the DVD and in the current situation, it is difficult for me to complete the album,” he said.

Songs that will feature on the DVD are “Mira Newako”, “Konzi”, “Pasirino”, and “Tutsotso” and the other two from his late father Tongai, “Ndiro Yababa” and “Tsamba Ndakanyora”.

He hopes that the DVD will be well received just like his debut album.
“We have worked well and hopefully people will enjoy the project,” he said.

The musician kept the few fans that turned up on their toes. Zhakata performed his hits “Mugove”, “Maria”, “Zvandiremera,” “Nhaurwa Dzerudo,” among others and he was a thriller.

His current album “Zvangu Zvaita” seems to be gaining ground with the song “Dhonza Makomborero,” being the most popular with the crowds.

“The current album is doing well. We just want to thank God for the warm reception,” said the soft spoken musician.
The Zora music exponent said he was working on a DVD album. Show promoter Patson Chimbodza said he was happy with the artist’s commitment to perform at the event.

“This is commendable for these two artists who came for show on time,” Chimbodza said.
